One person CAN change the world. I think this is a nice representation of how love can work to change us all.

Thanks, Gzelle, that was indeed beautiful! ............... okay, I'm compelled to post this here but I kind of want to say "please don't watch it" especially to certain people here and you know who you are....I don't want to damage anyone with this. Waltz With Bashir (2008) in Hebrew with English subtitles: online here --- zipd.eu/zV6885V82d.aviPlot: An Israeli film director interviews fellow veterans of the 1982 invasion of Lebanon to reconstruct his own memories of his term of service in that conflict.
Nominated for Oscar. Another 23 wins & 22 nominations(quoted from the Internet Movie Database (IMDB) — www.imdb.com/title/tt1185616/)If you can handle the subject matter, it's worth watching. The animation is really good and the way it was put together is stylistically very interesting. The psychological implications for the (practically-still-children) Israeli soldiers are interesting to note and actually help me a lot because I can't understand how "soldiers" can do these things to other people. Please watch with extreme caution and be aware that it's painful and brutal but a much needed piece of work. or don't watch it and just be aware that it's out there, which was my tactic for a long time, but tonight I finally watched it. I may be a little more prepared than others to deal with it, due to the photos I've had to look at over the past years so it's hard for me to gauge how other people will feel. In a nutshell: if you are easily traumatized or only mildly to less than interested, don't watch it. Another piece of work to note is the book "Checkpoint Syndrome" which is along similar lines and can be found here: angrywhitekid.blogs.com/weblog/2005/06/checkpoint_synd.htmlwhere you can even read my comment that's still floating around out there in the ether which is somehow funny to me. The internet appears to be permanent...for now. And now I get to go to sleep. I am babbling, I am shaken. Goodnight, all.

Long ago, for many years White men came in the name of GOD They took their land, they took their lives A new age has just begun . They lost their GODS, they lost their smile they cried for help for the last time. Liberty was turning into chains But all the white men said That's the cross of changes . In the name of GOD - The fight for gold These were the changes. Tell me - is it right - In the name of GOD These kind of changes ? . They tried to fight for liberty Without a chance in hell, they gave up. White men won in the name of GOD With the cross as alibi . There's no GOD who ever tried To change the world in this way. For the ones who abuse His name There'll be no chance to escape On judgement day . In the name of GOD - The fight for gold These were the changes. Tell me - Is it right - In the name of GOD These kind of changes ? . Tell me why, tell me why, tell why The white men said: That's the cross of changes ? . Tell me why, tell me why, tell why, In the name of GOD These kind of changes.
